The Spirit of Broadway Theater, located in Norwich, CT. is currently casting non-AEA actors/actresses for their upcoming production of the musical, GREENBRIER GHOST.

The production runs June 30 - August 1, 2010.
Performances are Wednesday - Saturday evenings at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm

The Spirit of Broadway Theater is a professional, innovative and intimate 74-seat three-quarters thrust, black box theater.  Roles are paid.  Housing provided. Roles being cast are:
 
Mary Jane Heaster, 40s, a farm wife – mezzo (Low G – D)

Erasmus Shue, 30s, blacksmith, rugged, handsome, charismatic but with a dark side –  baritone (Low B-high G)

Zona Heaster Shue, 18, Shue’s wife/Mary Jane’s daughter (deceased); pretty, frisky – mezzo (low A-Eb)

Jacob Heaster, farmer/sheriff, husband of Mary Jane, father of Zona –  baritone (low A-F)

Blanche Humphreys, 28 and almost an old maid, town schoolmistress with some sexual spark – Low A-E

Lizzy, 17 and innocent – Young mezzo, (Low G-F#)

Maude Dennis, late 40s-mid-50s, preacher’s wife – Older alto (low G-F#)

Amos Handley, a young undertaker – tenor (C-F)

Charles Knapp, an old country doctor  –  tenor (C-F)

Pastor Dennis, the minister – baritone (C-C)

Earl, a gravedigger – (Bb-F)

Frederick Rucker, young defense attorney from Charleston
— tenor (B-F#)

John Preston, county attorney, older (late 50s?) –  bass-baritone (low A-Eb)

Judge, 70s, non-soloist


 
 
All rehearsals will be held at The Spirit of Broadway Theater in Norwich, CT.

 Please prepare 16-measures of a musical theater ballad. 
Bring sheet music, accompanist will be provided. Sides will be available.
